A home sleep apnea test (HSAT) uses a compact wireless device to monitor breathing, oxygen levels, heart rate, and snoring while you sleep in your own bed. It is specifically designed to diagnose obstructive sleep apnea.

A laboratory polysomnography (PSG) requires an overnight hospital stay and involves 20+ attached sensors monitoring brain waves, eye movements, and muscle activity. PSG is typically reserved for complex cases where central sleep apnea, narcolepsy, or parasomnia is suspected.

From booking to receiving your results, the entire process typically takes 3–5 days. You can schedule a kit delivery within 24–48 hours, perform your test that same night, and receive your physician-reviewed report within 24 hours of returning the device.

A physician referral is required before proceeding with a sleep test. However, if you don't have one, Noxify provides a complimentary physician evaluation at no additional cost to determine whether a sleep study is needed. Once evaluated, you can proceed directly with your home sleep test.

Your report includes the Apnea-Hypopnea Index (AHI), oxygen desaturation index (ODI), minimum and average SpO2 levels, respiratory event breakdown, sleep position analysis, snoring intensity data, and heart rate variability.

Absolutely. Because the test is done at home, you can wear the device during your regular sleep window, regardless of when that is. Night-shift workers often get more representative results from a home test than from a lab study that forces daytime sleeping in an unfamiliar environment.
